Cottage Food Disclosure
Banana Boss SRQ™ is a Florida cottage food operation as defined by Florida Statute 500.80. Our products are prepared in a private home kitchen and have not been inspected by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. We comply with all cottage food requirements, including annual sales under $250,000 and direct-to-consumer sales within the state of Florida only.
Allergen Disclosure
All of our loaves contain dairy (butter) and egg. Our classic line contains wheat. The Ringling and The Lido contain tree nuts (walnuts) in both lines. All loaves are prepared in a home kitchen, and we cannot guarantee that any product is free from cross-contact with dairy, egg, or tree nuts. Customers with severe food allergies should consider this before ordering.
Gluten-Free Products
Banana Boss SRQ™ operates two physically separate home kitchens. Our gluten-free loaves are mixed, baked, cooled, and packaged in a dedicated gluten-free kitchen with its own equipment, bakeware, utensils, and sealed ingredient storage. No wheat flour or wheat-containing ingredient is brought into that space. Our classic loaves are produced in a separate kitchen and are never handled on gluten-free equipment.
Our gluten-free flour blend is made from USDA Certified Organic sorghum flour, millet flour, tapioca flour, and potato starch. The sorghum, millet, and tapioca each carry third-party certification from the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO), whose standard requires testing at 10 ppm or less — half the 20 ppm threshold the FDA permits for a gluten-free label. Our potato starch is a product of Germany, certified organic by CCOF, and is batch tested and verified gluten-free by its manufacturer, though it does not carry separate third-party gluten-free certification. Its sole ingredient is organic potato starch, unmodified. No product in the gluten-free line contains wheat, barley, rye, oats, or any gluten-containing grain.
We are a cottage food operation and our facility is not inspected or certified by any third-party gluten-free certification body, and we do not conduct per-batch gluten testing. We describe our practices accurately and in detail so that you can make an informed decision. Customers with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity should review this disclosure and consult their own judgment or physician before ordering.

Information We Collect
When you place an order or sign up for our email list, we may collect: your name, email address, delivery or shipping address, and phone number. Payment information is collected and processed by Square, Inc. and is not stored on our systems.
When you visit our website, we may collect standard web traffic data (browser type, pages visited, approximate location) through cookies and our hosting provider.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process and fulfill your orders
- Communicate with you about your order
- Send marketing emails (only if you've opted in)
- Improve our website and products
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only with service providers necessary to run the business: Square (payments), our shipping carriers (USPS), and our email platform (if you subscribed).
Google reCAPTCHA
Our site uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam sign-ups. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing orders@bananaboss-srq.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

By placing an order with Banana Boss SRQ™, you agree to these terms.
Products
All products are made in small batches in a Florida cottage food operation. Every loaf is offered in two lines: classic (organic Italian Tipo 00 wheat flour) and gluten-free (our own organic sorghum-millet house blend). The line you select at checkout is the line you receive; please review the Gluten-Free Products section above before ordering from the gluten-free line. Product appearance may vary slightly from photos, and gluten-free loaves differ in crumb and color from their classic counterparts. All loaves are baked fresh and intended for consumption within 3–4 days at room temperature or up to 30 days frozen.
Orders and Payment
Orders are placed through our website via Square. Payment is due at the time of ordering. Prices are in US dollars and do not include applicable sales tax (cottage food products are generally exempt from Florida sales tax).
Delivery
Local delivery is available within a 12-mile radius of Sarasota, Florida. A $10 delivery fee applies to orders under $35; delivery is free on orders of $35 or more. Delivery is typically completed within 1–2 business days of order placement.
Shipping
We ship to addresses within the state of Florida only, via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight. Orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend transit delays. Banana Boss LLC is not responsible for shipping delays caused by the carrier.
Refunds and Cancellations
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not offer refunds on delivered or shipped orders unless the product arrives damaged or defective. If you receive a damaged or defective order, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt at orders@bananaboss-srq.com with photos, and we will issue a replacement or refund at our discretion.
Orders may be cancelled for a full refund up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery or ship date. After that point, orders have typically already been baked and cannot be cancelled.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, Banana Boss LLC's liability for any claim related to our products or services is limited to the purchase price of the product in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
